A holistic approach to chronic pain management considers the patient as a whole, their mind, their body, and their spirit. It includes developing healthy nutrition, regular gentle movement, grounding meditations if possible, addressing mental health issues, and prompting behavior change.

If you’re like us, you’re used to seeing specialists – one that specializes in one domain, and really isn’t well versed in the rest.

At Mayv, we value conventional medicine but know that everything has its limitations, so we believe that complementing your care with a holistic approach allows you to address both the emotional and mental challenges of living with a chronic condition whilst also allowing you to investigate the root causes of your pain.

A holistic approach can be expensive, confusing, and a damn guessing game. After weeks of research, hundreds of dollars spent, and weeks implementing a change, you are left confused at why things do not work. We get how that feels. We’ve been there, too.

So, we created The Relief Toolkit to remove the guessing game from holistic chronic pain management.

Created with the input of health experts and patients, the relief toolkit has three parts:

  1. The CBD: Mayv’s organic line of  hemp-derived CBD products
  2. The Program: A pain management program that focuses on understanding the root causes of pain, and teaching the tools to help manage it.
  3. The Community: A collection of educational resources, events, and guides written by doctors, experts, and patients, who share their field expertise and personal experiences to guide you through your healing journey.

At Mayv, all of our holistic approaches to chronic pain are meant to work with the care provided to you by your doctors.

All of our CBD products are made from organically-grown hemp and created for high bioavailability. Your body will absorb the maximum amount of relief.

Step 1: Mayv’s original & organic line of CBD products

Adding CBD to your daily regimen can help in several ways. First and foremost is CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties. That property on its own is the reason CBD can help with the pain.

Less inflammation = Less Pain

Quality CBD is a natural, plant-based complement to traditional medicine for a holistic approach to chronic pain relief. CBD interacts with your body’s cannabinoid receptors to help regulate the human endocannabinoid system, a system that restores homeostasis in the body. Thus, promoting both physical and emotional well being.

The effects of CBD can also include calming anxiety, soothing nausea, increasing appetite, and improving sleep by helping you fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up feeling well-rested. Additionally, CBD provides a safe alternative to opioids. Opiods are commonly prescribed to treat pain but can also lead to addiction.

Step 2: The Program

As you already know, each of our bodies’ needs is unique. What works for someone else won’t necessarily work for you. That’s why The Program offers patients the ability to learn about different therapies, approaches and modalities in the hope that they can find a mix that works for them.

Our holistic approach to chronic pain will teach you to treat the entire body as interconnected and proactively address stress and pain flares. The goal is to walk away with a personalized plan to enhance your wellness routine, so you can enjoy a higher quality of life.

The Program is broken down into:

The Foundations Course introduces you to mindfulness and meditation practices that help you engage your mind and body, assess your physical and emotional state, and release pain and stress.

Deep Dives become available upon completing the Foundations Course. Have you found mindfulness exercises effective in the past four weeks? Here is a place to deepen your practice with new techniques and explore different holistic approaches to chronic pain such as yoga for arthritis, tai chi, mindful movement, self-compassion, nutrition, and sleep.

Daily Mindful Practices include a variety of guided meditations that slow down your mind and body. Practicing these calming techniques will cultivate greater self-awareness, and over time you will develop the skills to track patterns of pain and interrupt them with grounding exercises.

Quick Relief Tools are available as soon as you open the app. We designed these tools for everyday use, but especially for the days when you are seeking immediate relief. Mayv’s tools include clinically-proven methods to redirect your attention according to your needs.

Step 3: The Community

Our community of doctors, experts, and fellow patients share their collective knowledge to help you navigate a holistic approach to chronic pain and to live life on your terms. They have developed articles, conduct support groups, and also host events all available at Mayv.co.

The community is here to support your journey because at Mayv no one journeys alone!
